What is security management?

Security management is the set of management activities aimed at ensuring and improving the security of an organisation’s assets, people, information and resources.

A safety management system (SMS) or safety management programme (SMP) is a system encompassing safety-related policies, an organisational structure, objectives, roles and responsibilities, as well as procedures and continuous improvement mechanisms.
